Which tires qualify
The promotion covers select original equipment (OEM), original equipment alternative (OEA) and select winter (WIN) tires for passenger vehicles and light trucks. A handful of brands and specialty lines are excluded, along with tubes and wheels — the complete exclusion list is spelled out below, and it is worth a look before you settle on a set.

Rocks take sidewalls. Passes take tread.
Two different ways to kill a set of tires, and in this valley most people manage both. Fourmile, Chinaman Gulch and the network above Monarch chew at sidewalls in a way that never shows up as tread wear — a tire can measure fine and still be one sharp edge from a plug that will not hold. If you air down and wheel regularly, the sidewall is the thing to look at, not the tread depth.
The pass does the other kind of damage. Loaded Ram running a trailer over Monarch, descending with the weight pushing, then a winter that starts early at 7,000 feet. That is heat, then cold, then grip when it matters.
Either way, replacing all four at once keeps the tread even across both axles, which matters more on a four-wheel-drive vehicle than most people realise. Mismatched circumference between axles puts real strain on a transfer case. Ask the advisor to look at all four rather than the two that are obviously worn.
